Protect our Planet Biodiversity Poster Series

Introducing my poster series against animal poaching. The series focuses on how people often shy away from confronting the harsh reality of poaching, paralleling their discomfort with the sight of blood. By incorporating mixed media, I aim to emphasize the need for a shift in perspective, encouraging viewers to face the grim truths about animal poaching. The intention is to soften the edges of this tough topic, making it more approachable while urging for a change in mindset.

Goal: To create a visually engaging posters that draws the attention to protecting our planet biodiversity, using mixed media to spark empathy and inspire action to protect wildlife.

Process

For this poster series against animal poaching, I wanted to address how uncomfortable people feel about the harsh reality of poaching, especially when it involves blood. To make the topic more approachable, I replaced the image of blood with a red ribbon, placed where poachers would make cuts. This adds irony and grabs attention without overwhelming the viewer.

I used mixed media, combining hand-drawn elements with the ribbon, to create a striking visual. The goal was to make people look closer and think more deeply about the issue, encouraging them to face the problem and take action to protect wildlife.

Exploring a serious topic, my poster series takes on domestic abuse, using irony to challenge the harmful idea that 'If he beats you, it means he loves you.' The posters aim to show that love should never involve hurting someone. They depict the tough situation some people face, where they feel trapped and don't have many choices. Through simple but strong visuals, the project wants to start conversations about the importance of understanding, support, and saying no to harmful beliefs about love and relationships.

Goal: To challenge harmful beliefs about domestic abuse, using irony to show that love should never involve violence, and to start conversations around this issue.

Freedom of Speech History Poster

11 x 17 Poster

My poster talks about a real issue: not everyone can freely say what they think today. I'm pointing to a sad event on March 4, 2022, when independent media got banned. The poster shows that speaking out might get you in trouble. I want people to think about how important it is to be able to share your thoughts without being afraid. This poster is a reminder that we still have to fight for everyone to have the right to speak up without facing harsh consequences.
